VHS Laptop Skins Are Childhood Overload

This could’ve been camouflage in my bedroom growing up. Where’s the black Scotch EG though (Consumer Reports highest-rated non-premium VHS cassette)? I had many a Tom Baker Doctor Who episode taped on those, and a lot of Headbangers Ball too.

I wonder how many other kids were reading Consumer Reports reviews of blank VHS cassettes when they were 12. That would make an interesting Meetup. Or not.

Steve Jobs in Boston - 1997 Macworld
From Fortune’s CEO of the Decade story. Can anyone tell what road that is? Boylston near Hynes, maybe?

Pretty Hate Machine Turns 20
I dropped a hunka cash on a new “integrated” Sony stereo rack system right after high school, and then immediately blew out the speakers by “testing” them with this CD. I learned a couple things:
’Ringfinger’ has a lot of bass.
Always buy separate components (and make sure those components don’t include Sony speakers).
